During an interview with E! Online, Purcell shared details on what fans can expect for the storyline. He said, "I know that we're starting from where we left off on the show. I know that story but I can't tell you what it is. It's really exciting, though. It will make sense for the fans. As soon as Wentworth and I started on The Flash, we didn't realize because we always knew we worked so well together, but it reminded us that it just made perfect sense for us to get the ball rolling again for Prison Break. I can speak for myself and Wentworth, we're both just very fortunate and blessed that we were part of such an iconic show and that they're bringing it back. That's very rare. It's really rare."

As for the other character, Sarah Wayne Callies, star of "The Walking Dead" also mentioned details concerning her character during the Television Critics Association press tour. She explained that she has no idea if her character will return since she has not been asked about it yet. However, she explained that she is enthusiastic about joining the cast, given that it will continue a beautiful story.

The revival of Prison Break is expected to air on FOX by 2016.
