'Prison Break' Season 5 Live Stream, Spoilers (Fox): Lincoln's Narrative to be Featured, Mystery of Michael's Resurrection Revealed
The long wait is finally over as "Prison Break" kicks off its fifth season this week. Will Lincoln (Dominic Purcell), Michael (Wentworth) and the rest of their crew live through their biggest escape attempt yet? It's been eight years since FOX's crime thriller series bid its farewell with a two-episode television movie and the death of its main protagonist, Michael. This year, the show's revival also gave way to its main man's second life. How and why this happened is one of the things that viewers will gradually figure out as the series progresses.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, series creator Paul T. Scheuring explained his choice of making Michael the object instead of the subject of the upcoming revival series. Since the series previously made it seem like Michael had already died, bringing him back as the lead of the continuing story may make the audience feel like they're being "ripped off."

"But if we kept him off-screen [in prison] and made him the object of the story rather than subject, and how he came to be alive again was a mystery, then I thought that that would be a creatively genuine way to approach it," Scheuring said.
He also added that fans will be seeing the new narrative through Lincoln's eyes and be one with his confusion over the mystery of his brother's survival.
In the same interview, actor Purcell shared that even though his character, Lincoln, has become more aware of the consequences his actions, trouble may still be on his heels the same way as it has ever been.
"That's one of his endearing qualities is that he's a badass, but you can tell that he's a badass with a heart; he's not a murderer or a bad human being. He's just one of these unfortunates that the cards are never quite dealt correctly for him," Purcell said.
The upcoming season will also bring back Michael's wife, Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies), his best friend Sucre (Amaury Nolasco), the fan-favorite psychopath T-Bag (Robert Knepper) and another surviving Fox River Eight member, C-Note (Rockmond Dunbar).
