'Prison Break' Season 5 Spoilers: Michael Scofield Returns But Is As Mysterious As Ever

Season 5 of 'Prison Break' officially known as 'Prison Break: Resurrection'

The fifth season of "Prison Break" is expected to be a special one for many reasons, not the least of which is that it will show fans that the Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) they once knew has changed quite a bit.

Detailed in a recent report from iDigitalTimes, Michael has apparently not been staying still after all this time and has instead remained a very busy man.

He's acquired some new skills, new tattoos and he's even developed a somehow even more notorious profile.

Michael has changed, in many ways apparently, and fans will likely want to hear more about that in season 5. But beyond that, there may be another question that viewers want to have answered as well.

After all, Michael was supposed to be gone, and not in the "just mysteriously disappeared" kind of way, but in a "buried under the ground" manner.  And yet, here he is again. This makes it easy to understand why many fans are wondering how this could have happened.

The good news for those fans is that an answer is apparently coming soon enough.

A recent report from Movie Pilot features a quote from FOX CEO Dana Walden hinting that "a logical and believable explanation to why the characters are alive and still moving around the world" will be provided during this upcoming season of "Prison Break."

Speaking of which, the new season has been given a name of its own ahead of its debut, with the show's writer's room Twitter account recently confirming that it will be known as "Prison Break: Resurrection."

It certainly seems like an apt name for the returning show in many ways and fans should be able to hear even more about it in the coming weeks, especially since season 5 of "Prison Break" is expected to make its debut on April 4.
