'Project Runway Junior' Season 1 Winner Prediction: Jaxson Reveals Who He Is Rooting For

"Project Runway Junior" will crown its very first winner next week, and one eliminated contestant revealed who he is rooting for.

According to Jaxson Meltzer, one of the last contestants that got eliminated, he is rooting for Maya to win, but feels that the judges will favor Samantha more. "I think Samantha will win because she has the cool New York style that the judges love, but I want Maya to win because I love her edgy style," Jaxson said during his interview with She Knows. "She [Maya] is such an amazing designer and person," he explained.

The 15-year-old fashion designer from Minneapolis also shared his takeaway from the reality competition. "To step outside your comfort zone and explain yourself," Jaxson shared. He also said that it has been an amazing experience and an opportunity of a lifetime to be with young designers that have the same interests. "We have become such close friends," Jaxson said.

He also said that the judges were very supportive, especially in providing criticism. Jaxson also revealed that meeting the show's mentor, Tim Gunn, was something surreal since he said that he's been looking up to him for so many years.

Meanwhile, Zach Lindsey, another eliminated contestant, also shared how it like was for the designers when someone gets eliminated. He said that since everyone has become friends already, they try to be positive when someone is sent home. "So, when someone got eliminated, we would always throw a pizza party to celebrate their journey on the show," the Louisville, Kentucky-native told Courier-Journal.

Zach also said that they are all still in touch with each other, even if the competition is already over. "We have a group text message and since we've met each other, we've had it going over since," Zach said. The young designer said that everyone is in shock to find out that they are all "really friends," since viewers saw how easy it is for their adult counterparts to bicker at each other. "We were not like the adults. They don't all get along," he shared.

Watch the second part of "Project Runway Junior" season 1 finale this Thursday, Feb. 4, on Lifetime Channel.
