PS Gaming News: Sony Announces Games for June

Before the end of this month, Sony beat its rival, Microsoft in announcing what it has in store for its gamers in the month of June. This includes a lineup of games that will be available for free on the PlayStation Network.

A total of six games will be available for free download starting June 1. Four of these games will be playable on Sony's next-generation console, the PlayStation 4. The games include "Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes," "Skulls of Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition," "Super Exploding Zoo," "Futuridium EP Deluxe," "Call of Juarez: Gunslinger," and "Cloudberry Kingdom."

According to a report in Tech Times, the "biggest game" in the list is "Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes." This game was originally released and sold for $40 per copy and is intended to be a prequel of the upcoming "Metal Gear Solid: Phantom Pain." Some reviewers said it was a disappointing paid release because it was too expensive for a gameplay experience that was described as "demo-like" and something that can be finished in only two hours. It's only "value add" was its "side missions" and "just for fun missions" that made the game somewhat interesting.

The report says that it is a good decision to include this game in the network's June freebies, so that gamers who are anticipating the release of "The Phantom Pain" will be given a good preview of what's in store for them when the game comes out in September. This free game will be playable on the PS4.

The other PS4 game on the list is the turn-based action game "Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition," which is a game inspired by "Advance Wars" and "features turn-based combat between undead samurai."

Two other PS4 games are "Super Exploding Zoo" and "Futuridium EP Deluxe," which are also playable on the PS Vita. "Super Exploding Zoo" needs players to defend animal eggs from invading aliens by using exploding animals. "Futuridium" is described as a "stylish shooter game with a killer electronic soundtrack."

There are two PS3 games on the list and these are "Call of Juarez: Gunslinger" and "Cloudberry Kingdom."
