PS Vita Slim US Release Date: Borderlands 2 Bundle Available May 6, Game Includes all DLCs (VIDEO)
A PS Vita Slim Borderlands 2 bundle for $200 will be available on May 6 as the newest iteration of the handheld arrives in the U.S.
According to GameSpot, Borderlands 2 for the handheld can only be purchased with the Slim model for about a week. Also, the slim Vita has been out in Europe and Japan for a several months already.
The Borderlands 2 PS Vita version of the game will have a four player cooperative play along with cross platform compatibility with the PS3 version. Six of the game's add-ons will be available as well.
The slim PS Vita came out in the U.K. in February, and uses LCD screens instead of OLED, and also uses a narrower touchpad as well as being lighter, thinner, and more rounded. The battery is a bit longer, and the handheld is more user-friendly.
Polygon reported that the Vita will be a black model that includes a downloadable copy of the game, an 8 GB memory card, and a number of add-ons and extras. In Japan, the Vita comes in six colors.
This version of the game will also contain six DLC's that have already ben released for the console version: Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty, Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage, Psycho Character Class, Mechromancer Character Class, Ultimate Vault Hunter's Upgrade Pack, and Collector's Edition Pack.
In other news, a new Borderlands prequel/sequel was just announced for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, and will be developed by 2K Australia.
GamePointsNow reported the game will take place between a five-year span of the first game and second game. The game will be set in on the Planet Pandora's moon.
No release date has been announced, but CEO of Gearbox, Randy Pitchford, had deceiving comments back in February. When asked about whether a Borderlands 3 was coming, he said "not working on Borderlands 3," and "there isn't a Borderlands 3."
