Fresh out of PlayStation Experience 2015, Sony is in a celebratory mood when it made the announcement for these new PlayStation 4 games to release on Tuesday, Dec. 8.

"Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair"

This remastered EDF title expands "Earth Defense Force 2025." It features "50 percent more content," including new missions and weapons. In "Earth Defense Force 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair," players will face the Ravagers in a game played at 1,080p and 60 frames per second. The game will be available as a digital download and as a physical copy gamers can buy at retail outlets.

On a related note, another EDF game will also be released for the PS Vita on the same day. This game, titled "Earth Defense Force 2: Invaders from Planet Space," will be a remaster of the original "Earth Defense Force 2."

"Among the Sleep"

"Among the Sleep" is Krillbite Studio's Kickstarter-funded first person title. In the game, players take on the role of a two-year-old who, after being put to bed one night, witnessed mysterious events unfolding. The child embarks on a horror adventure, facing fears while searching for comfort.

"Among the Sleep" releases Tuesday for the United States and on Wednesday, Dec. 9, for the rest of the world. Krillbite Studio will also announce the game's release on the Xbox One later in the month. The game previously released to PC, Mac, and Linux in May 2014.

"Zotrix"

"Zotrix" is a space shooter game. Inspired by arcade machines of the 80s and early 90s, the game features missions and colorful enemies. It will also have a resource trading economy and an upgrade system. Ocean Media's "Zotrix" will be available to American PS4 owners days after the game was released in Europe but way before it will come out for the Xbox One in the first quarter of 2016.
