'Quantico' – First eight minutes of the pilot released. It has intrigue, romance, and a terrorist attack on New York.
The first eight minutes of "Quantico's" pilot episode has been released and it has everything to make ABC's new FBI thriller the best fall debut among the new shows. The eight minutes has tight drama, romance, a dash of comedy, and a shocking terrorist attack on New York. It has one of the best concepts for an espionage-thriller genre of a TV show.
The plot is simple as it is ingenious. It centers upon a group of trainees at Quantico, which houses the famous FBI Academy. At Quantico, the new recruits are each given a file. The file each of them holds has all the details of another fellow recruit. The recruits' first task is finding a vital piece of information that is missing from their fellow recruit's file. They are given only 24 hours to find this info or else they are out of the academy. This task leads to various secrets of the new recruits becoming known and it makes these characters interesting to watch further.
After a shocking terrorist attack, there is one more shocker - one of the trainees might be responsible for this attack. The first episode, titled "Run" delves into this matter by mixing the past and the present to create intrigue.
For the first time, the lead role of a new recruit is being played by Bollywood A-lister Priyanka Chopra. She plays the role of Alex Parrish, who has to unveil the mastermind of the terrorist attack who is now her peer. But she too has a mysterious past.
The riveting pilot has a lot of twists and turns. The recruits' pasts give viewers an idea that something big is cooking. Viewers will be left wondering what are these new recruits are up to? Why are they here? Did the FBI choose them or did they choose the FBI to do their dark deeds?
If the rest of the season is as brilliant as the pilot, ABC has a clear winner in its hands.
Priyanka Chopra is thrilled to have bagged this international show. According to IBNLive, she said, "'Quantico' is my first International TV venture and I am truly proud of it." According to The Indian Express, she also tweeted, "The name of the 1st episode of #Quantico is "Run." Can't wait for you to run to your TV on Sept 27 for @QuanticoTV!"
"Quantico" will be simultaneously air in India on Star World HD. In the same Indian Express report, when asked about the show's Indian premiere date, Priyanka replied, "October 3 onwards."
