'Quantum Break' Arriving For PC, Also On April 5
Third-person action shooter game "Quantum Break" is getting a PC version as well and it will be released together with the game's Xbox One version on April 5. The game was originally announced only for the Xbox One, but recently, the existence of the PC version was confirmed by Remedy Studios, according to a report in GameSpot.
The game allows players to control Jack Joyce, a character who has the ability to manipulate time where everything else is affected except him. Players can make use of several time-manipulating powers such freezing time to freeze enemies and escape from attacks, a "Time Blast" which can change the direction of bullets, or a "Time Rush" which allows him to speed up in order to take down an enemy.
The game was originally scheduled for a 2014 release but was delayed to 2015 and then again to its final release date, April 5, 2016.

When the PC version was announced a few days ago, a few people were not pleased with the announcement especially since the game has been touted as an Xbox exclusive. According to a report in Eurogamer, the announcement started a debate about whether it is alright to bring Xbox-exclusive games to PC. Some Xbox One owners felt that having a PC version of the game "devalued their purchase."
Perhaps as a response to the criticism, Microsoft has announced that those who pre-order the digital version of the game for Xbox One will receive a free copy of the Windows 10 version and this will be on offer until April 4. Saves across platforms will be supported but not cross-platform play. The GameSpot report also shared the minimum specs required for PC play in their report.
In the meantime, along with the Xbox One version, buyers will also get a full game download of "Alan Wake," and its two DLC add-ons, which was the last game developed by Remedy. Participating retailers will also give buyers access to "American Nightmare," a standalone expansion of "Alan Wake" originally released for the Xbox 360.
