'Quantum Break' Xbox One X Patch Is Huge; Complete Download Takes Up a Huge Chunk of Xbox One X Storage

Those who are looking to get the unadulterated "Quantum Break" experience will have to set aside a mammoth amount of storage space.

To install the game, which was initially released April last year, players will need 8 GB storage. According to the Xbox One Reddit page, the Xbox One X patch alone will take up 94.7 GB of space, which totals up to a whopping 102.7 GB.

There is a complimentary live action television series also titled "Quantum Break" that can be downloaded in full for 75.6 GB. It was developed alongside the game and is four episodes long.

The series was acclaimed for its high production values and the storytelling that effectively filled the gaps in the story as well as added depth to the characters in the game.

In the "Quantum Break" game, the story is told through the eyes of protagonists Jack Joyce and Beth Wilder while the TV series is told from the perspective of the villains.

With all of that accounted for, players will need 178.1 GB, making "Quantum Break" the biggest game on the Xbox One in terms of file size. It basically takes up 20 percent of the storage available on the Xbox One X.

But to reiterate, installing the series is entirely optional since it is available to stream in lower resolution. It is just a matter of determining if it is worth it to download or not as it will not be just about the time it will take to download, but also the money to spend. Players will already be able to play "Quantum Break" with just 8 GB.

Of course, those who are planning to pick up the Xbox One X, which will be available on Nov. 7 and is now available for preorder, will have to take note of the enhancement patch since it will be needed for improved experience tailored to the next-generation console so gamers should take note of that.
