'Rainbow Six Siege' Release Date: Ubisoft Won't Tolerate Trolls Who Kill Team Members

Ubisoft has confirmed it will not tolerate trolls for killing their team members when its newest game "Rainbow Six Siege" releases on Dec. 1. The developer/publisher has stated that it has a plan in place to handle such low lifes.

After the six days of beta testing ended on Nov. 30, "Rainbow Six Siege's" official Twitter account was flooded with questions for the upcoming launch. One of the questions pertained to the unfortunately common team killings that occurred during the beta.

"Are you going to do anything about trolls that kill people on their team?" Twitter user @perry5356 asked.

"Yes," the game's official Twitter handle replied. "We have a plan in place to handle them. It will not be tolerated at launch!"

Reports of trolls killing other players in their team were not met with any penalty from the developer/publisher during the beta. But now that it's finally launching the game, it looks like Ubisoft will finally be addressing the issue.

The specifics of this plan, however, have not been revealed. Other games that had dealt with the same issue booted offending players or banned their accounts temporarily or permanently, notes GameSpot. If Ubisoft will be employing the same or similar strategy to discourage team killing remains to be seen.

In addition to team killing, Ubisoft also dealt some other issues during the beta phase, including game sessions not starting properly and server issues. Beta testing for the game was scheduled from Nov. 25 to Nov. 29, but it got delayed, thus the extension. The open beta came with 14 operators, three game modes, and three maps.

"Rainbow Six Siege" is multiplayer tactical shooter game that requires players to work together as a team. The game's objectives include rescuing hostages.

The game will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
