With that, Hollander confirmed that Mickey will be present in the next season. However, there is a chance that it could put him through an obstacle that will leave him damaged. Hollander hinted at the idea of Mickey becoming MIA by the end of season 4.

Hollander stated, "I laugh only because that's the easiest part. Mickey always wakes up in a new place, and that place feels permanent until it's not. Boston. Mexico. North Hollywood. And somehow, some way, whatever he is doing, it's going to drag him right back into the heart of Donovan land."

Meanwhile, it was reported that another character will be facing some changes in the upcoming season. Another report from TV Line explained that Ray, played by Liev Schreiber, will be portrayed in a different way for the season to come. The character will soon be dealing with his past, as well as some emotional and psychological challenges.

He also revealed that the fourth season of "Ray Donovan" will be bringing 12 episodes, each an hour long. The production for season 4 is expected to start sometime next year.

"Ray Donovan" season 4 is expected to premiere on Showtime this 2016.
