Razer Blade 2016 Launched, Comes with Windows 10, Chroma keyboard, starts at $1,999

PC Game company Razer has finally launched its fifth edition of its Blade gaming laptop. According to a report by Gadgets 360, the Razer Blade (2016) model was unveiled during the Game Developer Conference 2016. And as detailed, the handy computer is lighter, better and cheaper compared to its predecessor. The model will have two variants available—one with 256 GB of storage and the other one with 512 GB of storage.

The prices of the laptops are $1,999 and $2,199 respectively.The price tag may be expensive to some but the specifications listed in the Razerzone website revealed that every penny spent on it will be worth it. The new Razer Blade will come with the 6th Gen quad-core Intel® Core™ i7 processor, NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 970M graphics, and Thunderbolt™ 3 (USB-C).

Aside from that, Liliputing detailed that the gaming laptop will be equipped with 16 GB of RAM and will have a groundbreaking PCIe solid state storage performance. But despite its heavy hardware specs, the laptop will retain its thin form factor. With a measurement of 0.7 inches thick and a weight of 4.25 pounds, the gaming laptop is made with CNC aluminum.

It is also detailed that the new Razer Blade laptop will have a Chroma keyboard which is a feature found in the in the company's Blade Stealth notebook. It is powered by Razer Chroma that provides the user access to 16.8 million color options per key. There's also the Razer Synapse which can let the user easily remap the keys and create macros. It can also personalize lighting effects and utilize inter-device sync with other Chroma enabled devices.

Moreover, the Razer Blade (2016) is packed with Windows 10 along with a 2-megapixel webcam, built-in Dolby Digital stereo speakers, 70W/h rechargeable li-ion battery and connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.1, and Micro-USB 3.0.

Forbes reported that the laptop is now available for pre-order and shipping will start on April.
