'Real Housewives of Atlanta' News: Entire Cast Returning for New Season, Two New Housewives Joining Show
It has been confirmed that the entire cast of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" will be returning for the seventh season of the show, and they will be joined by two newcomers.
According to Us Weekly, Demetria McKinney and Claudia Jordan will be joining original housewives Nene Leakes, Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Cynthia Bailey, Phaedra Parks, and Porsha Williams for the upcoming season.
Jordan is known for being a former model on "Deal or No Deal." She has also participated on two seasons of "The Celebrity Apprentice." A former Miss Rhode Island, she has competed in the Miss USA beauty pageant and is presently working as a DJ for DishNetwork's Rickey Smiley Show.
McKinney is a singer, an actress and a philanthropist. She has appeared on several Tyler Perry productions, including the TBS show "House of Payne" where she played the role of Janine Payne.
Us Weekly's source said that McKinney has been signed on as a full-time cast member, while Jordan will have a supporting role on the show.
The insider also said that this will be Leakes' final season on the show.
It can be recalled that the last season of the show featured a lot of fights between the Housewives. During the reunion show in March, Williams attacked Moore, and she was arrested because of it. Leakes took to her website to defend Williams' actions, though she also wrote that she does not "condone violence".
The premiere date of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" season 7 has yet to be announced.
