'Real Housewives Of Atlanta' Season 8 News: Phaedra Parks Opens Up About Financial Dispute With Todd Tucker
"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Phaedra Parks has addressed the issue of her missing payment for Todd Tucker's work on her upcoming prenatal workout video. The "RHOA" cast member offered her own take on the controversy in a blog post on the Bravo TV website.
"The issue of me owing money to Todd Tucker for production of a prenatal workout video has gotten completely misrepresented and needlessly become the source of harsh feelings," Parks wrote. The growing drama stemmed from co-star Kandi Burruss' harsh comments on the financial dispute in the Jan. 3 episode of the popular reality TV series.
Parks sought to set the record straight, establishing that the business issue is between Nida Fitness, which is co-owned by Parks and her husband, and TTucker Productions, which Parks hired to produce her prenatal fitness video. According to the reality star, she hasn't made the final payment for the video because post-production on it has yet to be completed, resulting to the entire project being put on hold.
"It is disconcerting to see that Todd opted to discuss the matter with everyone, except the business owners of Nida Fitness; thereby turning this business matter into a personal attack and assault on my character," Parks lamented in the blog post.
The "RHOA" housewife went on to recount that after she learned that rumors regarding the business matter had begun circulating, she asked Tucker to visit her office and discuss the issue. Parks said that she had then, "in good faith," issued Tucker a check for half of the remaining balance. She also wrote that she is currently waiting for the final cut of the exercise video. "Upon receipt of a commercially acceptable, finished product, I will cut the final check," Parks said.
"Everybody knows that the final payment follows the final deliverable," she added.
"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
