"Though the remaining episodes of season 10 of The Real Housewives of Orange County will show us as a couple, the filming took place in January 2015 through May 2015," Gunvalson and Ayers explained in their joint statement released on Sunday. "There will be no further statements or interviews regarding our relationship as we choose to move on with our lives."

The Real Housewives of Orange County stars also asked for understanding from the public, the Mail Online reports.

This is not the first time that Gunvalson and Ayers' relationship took the rocky road. They first met in 2011 and first broke up in 2013. However, the two were back together the following year after Ayers was diagnosed of cancer.

Meanwhile, Gunvalson's daughter Briana Culberson has not been a fan of her mother's former boyfriend. In fact, she has always expressed how much she dislikes Ayers. In one episode, she scolded him for bragging to her about the size of his private organ, the report relays.

It has been a difficult year for Gunvalson. In the middle of one episode, she was informed of the sudden death of her mother.

The Real Housewives of Orange County airs every Monday at 9:00 pm ET on Bravo.
