'Real Housewives' Vicki Gunvalson Debuts New Face After 'Miss Piggy' Taunts (VIDEO)
"Real Housewives of Orange County" star Vicki Gunvalson debuted her new face on the show's season eight premiere Monday.
The veteran "Housewives" star admitted to going under the knife in a bid to improve her appearance. She revealed that she had fat injected into her face to cover up wrinkles as well as a nose job and a chin implant. Gunvalson appeared on "Watch What Happens Live" immediately after the premiere aired to show off the "settled" results.
"I had fat from my sides put in my face, they spun it down and then I got a little [chin] implant coz I guess when they do the nose they have to do the chin," Gunvalson told Cohen of her new face.
During season seven of the hit Bravo TV reality show Gunvalson, 50, was left shattered after Slade Smiley, who is the boyfriend of her co-star Gretchen Rossi, ridiculed her looks during a stand-up routine. Smiley suggested that Gunvalson looked like "miss piggy," but the reality TV star did her best not to blame him for motivating her to go under the knife again.
"No I didn't do it because of Slade at the end of the day it hurt my feelings ... it wasn't just Slade, there was a lot of people saying my nose is turned up and I look like Miss Piggy and it made me self conscious," Gunvalson explained.
"I saw a couple of doctors and they said 'you know what we can make it look a little better without changing the overall look' so I'm like 'why not?'" she said. "I just kind of closed my eyes and said 'do what you think is gonna look good.'"
During Monday night's show, which was taped months prior, Gunvalson still appeared to have swelling in her face from the procedure. Rossi and fellow co-star Tamra Barney were seen ridiculing her new appearance.
"It was hurtful," Gunvalson said of her co-stars' reactions. "But I knew I shouldn't have been on camera right away. I was only a week or two right out of surgery, and I did it and it was like whatever."
Gunvalson's co-star Alexis Bellino is believed to have referred her own plastic surgeon to the Orange County-based executive.
"I've been ridiculed that I look like a certain character, and it does hurt me. So I went to Alexis' plastic surgeon and I did some cartilage reconstruction on my nose," she said.
"I had some fat injected in the upper part of my cheeks so I don't have anymore wrinkles, and then he did a little chin implant," she added.
