Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund Live Stream Football: Watch Online Champions League Semi Final First Leg Soccer
Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund takes place in the Champions League Semi Final first leg on Wednesday night with the German side looking to emulate Bayern Munich's accomplishment in demolishing Barcelona 4-0 on Tuesday. The game is scheduled to kick off at 7.45 p.m. UK time and can be watched online through live stream (details below).
If Tuesday's tie between Barcelona and Bayern Munich was a match up between Spain and Germany's top teams this year, then this tie could easily be touted as a game between Spain and Germany's second-best teams. The German side will be hoping to gain a good first leg advantage from this home leg tonight, although it is unlikely they will be able to take apart Real as much as Bayern did to Barca yesterday.
Real manager Jose Mourinho has confidently named his starting XI for the game 24 hours in advance, and has seemingly named an attacking side despite traveling to Germany for this first leg tie.
Mourinho is looking to reach the Champions League final with his third different club, however, Dortmund will be no pushovers.
"Madrid are one of those clubs where finishing second counts for nothing. So we have to reach the final and then win that," Mourinho has said ahead of tonight's game.
"We will play with Diego Lopez, Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Raphael Varane, Fabio Coentrao, Sami Khedira, Xabi Alonso, Mesut Ozil, Gonzalo Higuain, Cristiano Ronaldo and hopefully Angel Di Maria," he added.
These two teams met in the group stages of the competition with Dortmund almost managing to get the better of Real. It took a last minute equalizer for Real to claim a 2-2 draw in Madrid. In Germany, Dortmund won 2-1 revealing that they have what it takes to knock out Real over two legs.
Mourinho has taken his team's failure to beat Dortmund in the group's stages down to individual errors and believes this time things will be different: "All four goals we conceded against Dortmund in the group stage were mistakes by us. We hope we will not concede that many goals in the next games.
"I hope that my team, which I value tremendously as individual players as well as a team, will be able to convince on Wednesday and in the return leg.
"The team has great players who give everything they have and also deserve to win this competition. With a few exceptions, none of them have won this competition so far and I wish it for my team that they can win the Champions League, as they deserve to do so."
