'Red Dead Redemption 2' News: Developer Eyeing a PC Version of Sequel?

Fans of Rockstar's open world western action-adventure video game "Red Dead Redemption" cannot wait for its sequel to be released later this year.

The developer has been successful in keeping many gamers in suspense by holding off on giving the key features of the game's second installment. According to Trusted Reviews, the trailer released for the title focuses on the gorgeous landscape of the Old West instead of the gameplay. There are cattle, shanties, bars and other stores briefly glimpsed in the clip as a mysterious voice speaks of not looking back and seizing the day.

Seven men are shown on horseback, speeding along on the coarse and unforgiving terrain. These cowboys are the promised characters of the game who live in America's heartland. A map of the Old West reportedly features the potential locations the players will be exploring. The Great Plains is teased, as well as multiple Caravan camps, rivers and some islands.

According to reports, "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be launched for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this fall. No PC edition has been teased, but rumors claim Rockstar has plans of making one.

In a report by rdr2, the developer has reportedly reached out to Denuvo Software Solutions, a DRM provider, to talk about the PC version of one of its games. A leak in Denuvo's site due to some technical issue reportedly gave all users brief unrestricted access to its database where some information was taken. One of the plans included is said to be a new Rockstar PC release.

"The most important takeaway from this ... it appears Rockstar will be using Denuvo in the future. Denuvo is only used on PC. If Rockstar will be using it, then they will be releasing something for PC. Their only upcoming game that we know about is 'Red Dead Redemption 2.' Putting two and two together here shouldn't be too hard," the websites posits.

'Red Dead Redemption 2" is rumored to be released this year on PS4 and Xbox One.
