'Red Dead Redemption 2' Release Date, News: Ethan Korver Confirms Casting in Sequel; E3 Presentation Expected

Video game voice actor Ethan Korver has confirmed his involvement in the highly anticipated western shooter offering by Rockstar Games, "Red Dead Redemption 2."

An IMDb listing recently revealed that Korver, who played roles in titles like "Far Cry 4," Mafia 3" and "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" among many others, will be involved in the sequel.

He confirmed he will indeed be in "Red Dead Redemption 2" when asked about it on Twitter by Red Dead Network. Korver did pose a caveat that it is not as big as gamers expect.

"I'm actually a cowboy in the game but supposedly be uncredited for it," he tweeted out. "I don't know who gave me credit for the main cast on IMDb. My character is a background character not a main cast member," he revealed in another tweet.

From the looks of it, Korver is only set for a small role in "Red Dead Redemption 2." Plot-wise, not much can be gleaned from the revelation. Nevertheless, this makes him the only voice cast member confirmed for the game.

Rockstar has kept details about "Red Dead Redemption 2" under wraps ever since it announced the game back in October 2016.

It is believed that the studio will reveal more about the much-awaited sequel at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) this June although not a lot of people count on that.

Rockstar has always shied from talking about their big games in gaming conventions. Instead, they catch fans off guard and drop a trailer or an announcement out of nowhere.

However, the fact that Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two Interactive, will be there gives fans hope that "Red Dead Redemption 2" details will come out of E3.

It is to be noted, however, that Take-Two also has a lot of developers under its wing, including 2K, the games of which might be the subject of their presentation at the conference. Despite this, fans hope that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will get a shoutout there.

Either way, Rockstar is expected to provide more information about "Red Dead Redemption 2" since it is set for release this fall.
