'Red Dead Redemption 2' to Run 4K on Project Scorpio; October Launch Date Outed?
"Red Dead Redemption 2" will reportedly be one of the titles to be showcased on the Project Scorpio, the next-generation Xbox console.
According to Windows Central, the highly anticipated Rockstar Games offering will be one of the games to be used to show off the True 4K resolution capabilities of the console.
Other titles lined up include "Forza Motorsport 7," which will reportedly be a Project Scorpio headliner, "Crackdown 3" and "State of Decay 2" as well as the new "Call of Duty" and "Star Wars: Battlefront 2."

Rockstar has remained silent ever since it released a trailer for "Red Dead Redemption 2" making the sequel official back in October last year.
The developer did say that the new "Red Dead Redemption" game is coming in fall of this year, but a new leak reveals a much more specific date than that.
A listing on the website of the Polish retailer Media Markt reveals that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be out on Oct. 3, which is a Tuesday, a typical day for game releases.
Polish site CD-Action, which was the first to spot the listing, confirmed with the retailer if this is really the release date of "Red Dead Redemption 2."
"I would like to inform you that our marketing department was informed by distributor of the game that its airing date is 3rd of October 2017," the retailer answered via email as translated by a Redditor.
However, Media Markt public relations manager Wioletta Batóg, reached out again to CD-Action to clarify that the previous email is inaccurate and that there is no release date set for "Red Dead Redemption 2" yet.
Because of this, users will see a Dec. 31 placeholder release date when they go to the page of the retailer for "Red Dead Redemption 2."
Meanwhile, other information revealed about the game is that PlayStation 4 players will enjoy "first access" to "select online content." There are no specifics on this yet but Sony promises to provide more information soon.
