'Reign' Season 4 Episode 2 Spoilers: Mary's Traitor Issue Continues, Catherine Seeks Knox's Help

Mary (Adelaide Kane) may have finally forced James (Dan Jeannotte) to choose her side, but deceit continues to lurk in "Reign" season 4, episode 2, "A Grain of Deception."

The promo for the upcoming episode shows that James might not be completely on board with Mary on her quest for power.

"You have sought to destroy every alliance I worked so hard to build," he tells the queen in the "Reign" season 4, episode 2 promo. "The only alliance you should have is with me," Mary retorts.

In the "Reign" season 4 premiere, Mary was able to get the better of her brother and compelled him to work with her instead of playing for all sides including that of Knox (Jonathan Goad).

However, the preview for the next episode shows that James is not over his other alliances. The synopsis for "Reign" season 4, episode 2 actually teases a whole new round of deception.

Mary will discover "a leak amongst her advisers and sets out to uncover the traitor." From the looks of it, there is still a long way to go before she cleans up her corner of spies.

As Mary looks for the traitor, Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten) is hoping to make an ally out of Narcisse (Craig Parker), the husband of the woman she just had executed — Lola (Anna Popplewell).

However, it is not just Narcisse she is working to have on her side, but also Knox. "Mary's return is inconvenient for both of us," he tells Elizabeth in the "Reign" season 4, episode 2 promo.

She replies with a proposal saying, "There be a way we can work together I imagine." It looks like Mary will have a lot of her plate as she not only struggles to find who to trust. Her cousin is also making considerable moves in defeating her.

Meanwhile, Catherine (Megan Follows) will be busy reclaiming some lost power in "Reign" season 4, episode 2 and it might involve another murder with Martel (Lewis Kirk) at the receiving end.

"Reign" season 4, episode 2, "A Grain of Deception," airs Friday, Feb. 17, at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
