'Reign' Season 4 Episode 7: Darnley to Leave Mary for Keira?
The attempts to make sure that Mary (Adelaide Kane) and Darnley's (Will Kemp) do not push through continue in the next episode of "Reign" season 4, "Hanging Swords."
In this upcoming installment, another threat to the much-needed union will arise in the form of a familiar face from Darnley's past — Keira (Sara Garcia).
After being promised to Lord White, Keira will be back in "Reign" season 4, episode 7 to pursue Darnley and convince him to be with her.
She does not seem to care that she is now married. In the promo for the episode, Sara is seen approaching Darnley, who was stunned by what he saw.
Darnley, although he has been exhibiting feelings for Mary in the recent "Reign" season 4 episodes, has been in love with Keira for the longest time. In fact, he even wanted to marry her.
"Reign" season 4, episode 7 will provide him that chance but there is one person that would not let him, Mary's brother James (Dan Jeannotte).
Mary is convinced that marrying Darnley is the only way for her to take England, but James is not completely on board with the idea of the union.
The preview for "Reign" season 4, episode 7 shows James threatening Darnley should he grass on Mary. "If you betray my sister, you will pay with your life," the former tells the latter.
He believes that he is "selfish" and "insecure," which would not help Mary in her bid to take over England. This worry is amplified with Keira back in the picture.
Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten), on the other hand, puts in motion another plan after the failed attempt to kill Darnley. She decides to invade Scotland in "Reign" season 4, episode 7.
The promo for the installment suggests that Mary is sensing danger although this does not guarantee the safety of the land.
As all this takes place in "Reign" season 4, episode 7, Catherine (Megan Follows) will finally be able to locate King Charles (Spencer Macpherson), but bringing him back to the castle will be another story.
"Reign" season 4, episode 7, "Hanging Swords," will air Friday, March 31, at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
