Darnley's betrayal has Mary heartbroken and it might fuel what Mary does in "Reign" season 4, episode 8. As the trailer teases, "the betrayed queen becomes the betrayer."

How that happens is she pays Bothwell (Adam Croasdell) a visit. Introduced in the previous episode, Bothwell is the man who owns the noble lands Mary intends to buy for her brother James.

From the looks of it, the queen ends up sleeping with him. "Might I say, we make good partners," Bothwell tells her in the "Reign" season 4, episode 8 promo.

He also warns Mary that Darnley will be her "undoing." It is unclear whether or not Mary will believe him, but with her fiance's lies still making her extremely upset, she has become vulnerable.

Mary is hurt learning that Darnley and Keira spent the night. She felt like a fool thinking that their marriage is also founded by actual feelings of love.

Additionally, those who read their history books know exactly how things will end between Bothwell and Mary so they should have an idea of what's going to go down in "Reign" season 4, episode 8.

Meanwhile, this week's episode also finally introduces fans to the New World, as a traitor of Spain urges Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten) to support it.
