'Reign' Season 4 Episode 9: Mary and Catherine Team-up Back in Full Force
When "Reign" season 4 returns to the small screen with episode 9, "Pulling Strings," fans will be treated with some full-on Mary (Adelaide Kane) and Catherine (Megan Follows) team-up.
The previous episode saw the two finally reunited to the delight of many viewers. Matherine, as "Reign" fans like to call the tandem, is back for some new scheming in the name of Mary's crown.
"Reign" season 4, episode 9 will actually be where Mary and Darnley's (Will Kemp) wedding takes place. The synopsis teases the union happens in a "lavish affair" and the installment is likely treating fans with a full-blown wedding ceremony.

It looks like there is no stopping Mary and Darnley's marriage now. Even the efforts of Bothwell (Adam Croasdell), who was discovered to be the loyal watchman who has been secretly warning her about Darnley, are in vain.
Making another attempt in "Reign" season 4, episode 9 to stop the queen from marrying Darnley, he sneaks a visit and reminds Mary to consider other options in bringing England and Scotland together.
As for James (Dan Jeannotte), he knows Darnley's cunning ways enough to assume he is always up to something. This is the only chance they have now, since Mary appears to be pushing through the wedding.
The real challenge will be the events that follow the extravagant wedding as Darnley is starting to find ways to expand his influence as king already.
The promo for "Reign" season 4, episode 9 shows Darnley clearly enticed by the offer of the Vatican to give him control to grow his power.
He also appears to be doing his best to win their people over, which he knows will make it hard for Mary to get rid of him without inviting anger from the community.
Thankfully, Catherine is by her side now. She reminds her in "Reign" season 4, episode 9 that the Queen of Scots should "protect your crown at all costs."
She also gladly lends a hand in making sure that "Darnley left in a dark cloud of shame" if needed be. Should Mary want that to happen, Catherine can do so with no trouble.
