'Resident Evil 7' Release Date and Updates: Pre-Order Bonuses Leaked; Other Features Revealed
The release of the new "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is highly anticipated by fans of both the genre and the franchise. With so much hype building around it, leaks of some content have surfaced online. Find out what you could get by pre-ordering the game prior to the official release.
Pre-Order Package Leaks
Capcom's social media specialist Tim Turi revealed several months ago the Deluxe Edition of"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" and some of the pre-order bonuses that users will get. The downloadable content will be called Survival Pack. It will give players the ability to unlock the hardest difficulty levels at the early onset of the game.
During that time period, Turi still remained mum about the exact details and specifics of the pre-order package. However, several images of the contents of the bonus packs for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard has been leaked. Swedish retailer Disc Shop has unofficially posted the content, but seems credible given its standing.
Four Sets of Survival Packs
According to the photos leaked from Disc Shop's website, the pre-order bonuses of "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" will be offered in four different Survival Packs. The variants include the Recovery Set, the Handgun Set, the Burner Set, and the Chem Fluid Set. However, as nothing has been officially confirmed by Capcom, these packages could still change through time.
There is some affirmation of legitimacy in the leaked sets as classic items can be found in the forthcoming "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard." The green medicinal herbs are found in the Recovery Set, while the red boxes of ammunition are found in the Handgun Set. The photo of the Chem Fluid Set also seems to portray some sort of a healing object. The Burner Set also appears to pack the flamethrower, which was initially announced in the game rating from ESRB.
Additionally, each of the sets in the Survival Pack is packed with various types and sizes of coins, with some color variations. There are cons that are colored silver, copper, bronze, and gold visible in the leaked images. It is still unclear whether these would introduce a new currency system for the "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard," or if these will be used to solve puzzles.

The new game will be the 11th installment to the main Resident Evil franchise. It will take place after the events of Resident Evil 6, and will feature a first-person perspective gameplay.
