'Rick and Morty' Season 3 News: Same Universe as 'Gravity Falls'

After the ending of "Rick & Morty" season 2, fans are happy to hear that the series will receive a new season.

According to HitFlix, the co-creator of the series, Dan Harmon, recently expressed his sentiments on the series. Before sharing details about season 3, he revealed that his favorite character in the series is Beth Smith.

Harmon explained that Beth Smith is the one responsible for the quirky adventures of Rick and Morty. He said, "Why would that be the case? Why would any parents let this crazy man disappear through clearly dangerous portals with their son?" And after talking about it with Justin for a while, I realised the most important thing about that show for me, which is that Rick left at one point in Beth's childhood and Beth blamed her mother for Rick's absence."

Meanwhile, it was said that with Beth's father's departure during the season 2 finale, it is evident that Beth is not too happy about the situation. With that, Harmon is expected to explore her character, along with several other characters in the series.

There are also reports stating that there is a chance that "Rick and Morty" and "Gravity Falls" are set in the same universe. With that, Alex Hirsch from "Gravity Falls" spoke about his friendship with the creators of "Rick and Morty."

Hirsch expained that they started putting easter eggs in the series. He stataed, "Our motivation for that is primarily to freak people out and blow their minds. The impression of a grand brilliant design is probably more something that the fans have invented."

There has yet to be any news on the release date of "Rick and Morty" season 3.
