Rihanna Thought She Could Be Chris Brown's 'Guardian Angel'
Rihanna thought that she could be Chris Brown's "guardian angel," who could change him even after he assaulted her in 2009, the award winning R&B singer said.
Despite the abuse that she suffered at the hands of her ex-boyfriend, Rihanna said she still cares for Chris Brown. The Barbadian singer recently opened up about her past and present feelings for her former lover and her situation after they finally parted ways, according to the International Business Times (IBT) AU.
In an interview with Vanity Fair for the magazine's November issue, Rihanna said she is not presently on good terms with Brown, but she said she does not hold a grudge against him, Gulf News reports.

"I don't hate him. I will care about him until the day I die," IBT quotes Rihanna's statement to Vanity. "We're not friends, but it's not like we're enemies."
The 27-year-old award-winning singer also talked about how she decided to lift the restraining order against Brown and ran back into his arms in 2012 after he was arrested for domestic abuse three years before that. At first, Rihanna thought she was the "guardian angel" who could help Brown totally change into a better person, the report details.
Rihanna said she initially thought she was "strong enough" to withstand the pain that arose from her relationship with Brown. The singer said she saw her ex-boyfriend back then as a misunderstood individual who needed someone to "say the right thing" and uplift him during his down times.
During the times that she acted very protective of Brown, Rihanna admitted that she thought the public did not understand him. But eventually, she realized that her presence only caused Brown to remember his dark past, thus she finally left him.
Recent rumors say Rihanna has been dating several guys after she broke up with Chris Brown. Despite reports linking him to Travis Scott, the singer said except for Brown, she has not been in any serious relationships.
