Crystal Dynamics is Releasing a 20 Year Celebration Edition for "Rise of the Tomb Raider"

"Rise of the Tomb Raider" is coming to PS4 on October 11 and with it comes a 20 Year Celebration Edition to mark the momentous occasion.

Game developer Crystal Dynamics has finally announced the release date of the "Rise of the Tomb Raider" this year. In addition to hearing what the fans want in the game, the company introduced exciting new features and chapters that will provide a whole new experience and fresh new stories for the players.

In celebration of the 20 years of Lara Croft's journey, the PS4 version of the "Rise of the Tomb Raider" will also come with a 20 Year Celebration Edition for hardcore fans. Crystal Dynamics worked together with Nixxes Software to be able to create a new chapter called "Blood Ties" and letting players explore Croft Manor, they wrote on the PlayStation Blog.

What's in the "Rise of the Tomb Raider" PS4 20 Year Celebration Edition?

Crystal Dynamics is bent on celebrating with Lara Croft and Tomb Raider fans on the franchise's 20th year and thus the inclusion of the 20 Year Celebration Edition in "Rise of the Tomb Raider" PS4 release. Co-head of the studio, Scot Amos said that the edition will contain surprises that fans would enjoy, Game Spot wrote.

The 20 Year Celebration Edition is full of items aside from the full "Rise of the Tomb Raider" PS4 game. According to Cinema Blend, it will also include the content from the season pass, Expedition mode in five Lara Croft versions, New Story chapter "Blood Ties," Zombie chapter "Lara's Nightmare, New Co-op Endurance mode where Lara has to survive the outside elements, PlayStation VR support.

The PlayStation VR support is said to be exclusively for the "Blood Ties" chapter in "Rise of the Tomb Raider" that players will play in first-person experience. The Croft Manor will be fully explorable and players will have a chance to defend it from an uncle who claims ownership over it and from a horde of zombies.

For those who will pre-order "Rise of the Tomb Raider" PS4 and the 20 Year Celebration Edition, they will also receive an art book. Pre-order of the game and of the limited edition is ongoing and it can be bought via the official website.
