"Your girlfriend's father is an extremely dangerous man," the man tells Archie. Moments later, Archie receives a degrading comment from Veronica's father himself.

"You're not good enough for my daughter," Hiram tells Archie. As if that wasn't hard enough for Archie to hear, Nick St. Clair (Graham Philips) weighs in on where he stands with the Lodge family.

"I think you're a small town hick who's beginning to realize how deep in the shark-infested waters he really is," Nick says to Archie. However, it's puzzling for fans of the show to see Nick crossing paths with Archie since he fled the town after sexually assaulting Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch).

But whatever Veronica's dad and peers are doing, it appears that all of will be getting into Archie's head. In the promo, Archie is seen engaging in a wrestling match with Chuck (Jordan Calloway). But when he loses the match, Archie sees Hiram holding him to the ground instead, who tells him, "I always win."

Meanwhile, showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa shared with TVLine that the Black Hood terror over Riverdale is not yet over.

"There's still going to be a lot of fallout from the Black Hood," which will include Betty (Lili Reinhart), Aguirre-Sacasa revealed.

"Part of the reason the Black Hood fixated on her is because their darkness reflected each other," the showrunner teased.

"Riverdale" season 2 returns on Wednesday, Jan. 17, on The CW.
