'Riverdale' Season 2 Episode 4 Spoilers: Archie Determined to End Black Hood; Betty in Another Love Triangle?
In episode 4 of "Riverdale" season 2, Archie (KJ Apa) will do everything he can to stop the Black Hood. Meanwhile, Betty (Lili Reinhart) could be caught in another love triangle.
On the next episode of "Riverdale" season 2, titled "The Town That Dreaded Sundown," Archie won't hold the breaks in stopping the Black Hood from terrorizing Riverdale.
"I want the Black Hood dead. I want to be the last thing that he sees," Archie tells girlfriend Veronica (Camilla Mendes) as seen in the episode 4 promo.
However, Archie's plans will get out of hand, and Mayor McCoy (Robin Givens) decides to take action of his own. Mayor McCoy will call for an emergency town hall meeting, calling everyone in Riverdale to address the terror that's happening in town, according to the episode 4 listing.
Meanwhile, Betty could be getting herself into another love triangle, only this time, it will be with Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and newcomer Toni Topaz (Vanessa Morgan) from the Southside.
Previously in episode 3, Jughead lied to Betty about being beaten up and instead told her that he got into a motorcycle crash. But Toni, being Jug's new pal in Southside, knows more about the truth than Betty.
In an interview with TV Insider, Morgan shared that Jughead and her character are drawn to each other because of their similarities.
"She's a bit of an outcast herself, and I think Jughead feels the same with not fitting in completely. So I think they're drawn to each other because of [that contrast] between the haves and have-nots, and because they both [have ties to the] Serpents," Morgan revealed.
With Jughead living on the other side, connecting with Toni, it seems that he and Betty will be brought further apart.
In episode 4, Betty will find a connection with the Black Hood that she decides to keep from Jughead, only causing more friction between them.
"Riverdale" season 2 airs every Wednesday night at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
