Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart at Odds Over Ellie Goulding? Singer 'Caught in the Middle'

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have reportedly grown distant in recent weeks, months after they began trying to rebuild their friendship, and insiders claim singer Ellie Goulding feels caught in the middle of their drama.

In October the "Twilight" stars, who split in May, reunited in Los Angeles for a dog date with their pets. Pattinson, 27, reportedly even spent Thanksgiving with Stewart, 23, and the exes appeared to be on friendly terms up until January when the actor sold the home they once shared.

Goulding, 27, is set to perform at the Coachella music festival in April and she is hoping both Hollywood stars will attend despite their ongoing drama. Like Pattinson, the "I Need Your Love" singer is originally from England and she was featured on the "Twilight" movie soundtrack, which is reportedly how she met the actor and Stewart.

"Ellie's really good mates with both Rob and Kristen and used to spend time with them as a couple. Since their break-up, she still hangs out with both of them, but separately," a source told Now magazine U.K.

"Ellie wants both her friends to be [at Coachella]. It's one of the biggest events of the year for her ... But she knows her mates can't even be in the same space as each other right now, so she's feeling caught in the middle," the source added.

Pattinson sold his Los Feliz mansion on Jan. 14 for a reported $6.3 million and Stewart was reportedly crushed as the home holds fond memories for the former couple. The pair began dating in 2008 before they split last year due trust issues.

"Things started to turn sour again because Rob just couldn't trust her. When Rob sold his old house, it was a sign that he's moving on," the insider explained.

"Kristen was hurt as that was their love nest while they were dating. It felt like a kick in the teeth," the source continued. "Then to add to her woes, Rob started hanging out with some of her friends. She thought that was an odd move."
