'Rocket League': Devs Still Unsure if Nintendo Switch Version Will Be Made
Developers taking several factors into account when it comes to deciding whether a Switch version of 'Rocket League' will be made
"Rocket League" is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners to play, but is there a chance that this action-packed sports title will also make its way to another platform?
To be more specific, could this game also be made available for the Nintendo Switch?
This is a question on the minds of many fans and also apparently one that developers have thought about as well.
During a recent interview with IGN, Psyonix Studios Vice President Jeremy Dunham shared that the developers are "evaluating" the possibility that the game could be released for the Switch.
As part of that evaluation process, Dunham revealed that several factors are being looked at, and among those things being considered are the technical requirements that would need to be met in order to make the game playable on the Switch.
Developers are also looking at how a Switch port could benefit the members of the community and whether or not there really is considerable interest in creating that additional version of "Rocket League."
Dunham added that "it's definitely too early to say that it wouldn't happen, but it's also definitely too early to say that it would."
In any case, it looks like it may still be a while before the developers come to a final decision with regards to whether or not they will create a Switch version of the game, especially since they may be focused on other things at this point in time.
Just recently, developers shared that they are still working to resolve server and matchmaking-related issues currently affecting the game.
Possible fixes for these issues are being worked on at the moment, and developers have even mentioned that they are looking to release a hotfix that will address certain problems "in the very near future."
Additional details related to fixes and new features that could be coming to "Rocket League" should be made available soon.
