'Rocket League' News: Second 'Fast & Furious' DLC Set for Release This Week

"Rocket League" is bringing more "The Fast and the Furious" elements to its race tracks with the release of the second downloadable content (DLC) based on the long-running racing movie franchise on Wednesday.

Tomorrow, Oct. 11, the 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34, which Brian O'Conner got to drive in the second installment of the series, "2 Fast and 2 Furious," will be added to the game as part of the upcoming DLC.

It will be made available in "Rocket League" alongside the iconic 1970 Dodge Charger R/T, which was one of the first supercars that "The Fast and the Furious" franchise ever featured.

This one dates back to 2001, the release of the film that started it all — "The Fast and the Furious." It was Dominic Toretto who got the chance to get behind the wheel of the car.

The vehicles are priced at $1.99 each, with their unique booming sounds and handsome wheels to boot. "Rocket League" players will also get six decals to deck the cars with.

The 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 will have decals like 2Bold, 2Cool, 2Tuff, Clean Cut, The Clutch and Home Stretch. The decals for the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T include the Alameda Twin, Flames, Good Graces, Rally, Sinclair and Wheelman.

These supercars follow the release of Dominic Toretto's Dodge Ice Charger in "Rocket League" early this year as part of the game's "The Fate of the Furious" DLC, which is inspired from the latest and not to mention biggest film in the franchise so far.

In real life, the 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 and the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T will provide racers huge advantage over their opponents. However, in the spirit of fairness, "Rocket League" will only add them aesthetically.

Apart from "Rocket League," Microsoft's recently released racing game "Forza Motorsport 7" also announced the inclusion of sports cars as featured in "The Fast and the Furious" franchise.
