"Grand Theft Auto 6" for playstation 4 will reportedly be released in 2017.

The success of GTA 5 fueled rumors that a follow up is in the works. Rockstar's President Leslie Benzie talked about the sixth installment.

"We've got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do. We don't know what 'GTA VI' will be, but we've got some ideas," Benzie said.

However, GTA 6 may have to take a backseat since it is not Rockstar's main focus as of now.

"GTA Online is the focus right now. There ain't no rest between finishing 'V' and then Online. Plus we have some other things -- stuff, DLC, I don't know how to describe it exactly -- that we'd like to do, and we'll pick the right ones," Benzie added.

Althought the sixth installment is not yet finalized, GTA fans speculated about the location of the new game. Gamers hope for a country side location since they are reportedly tired of the modern city life in GTA.

Miami a.k.a Vice City but in an older setting is the primary choice for the fans since it is a popular spot for the game. Southern Texas is also an exciting location according to gamers since it is close to Mexico where guns, drugs and alcohol are rampant. Another report said that GTA 6 might be in Chicago.

Speculations also rose that a female character will be added in GTA 6. Video game producer Dan Houser has previously revealed that Rockstar can indeed add a female protagonist. Aside from that, fans expressed that the multi-character structure, wherein players can change into three different characters in the game should also be in GTA 6.

"Grand Theft Auto" has gained millions of fans throughout the years. Rockstar's profit increased by 60 percent in 2014 alone.
