'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' News: A New Villain Rumored; Supermodel Eunice Olumide as Rebel Leader
The upcoming "Star Wars" anthology flick continues to get both updates and rumors. While supermodel Eunice Olumide has confirmed her participation in the film, a new rumor has popped up suggesting a new villain will appear in the upcoming movie.
"Rogue One" gets a new villain?
Previous rumors said Darth Vader will be a villain and a Lego toy leaked the possible participation of Boba Fett. Now a brand-new speculation is saying a new villain will make the rebels' life miserable.
According to MakingStarWars.net, the new bad guy is an older male with a " huge majestic white cape with a slit in the back." The site doesn't know his name, though its sources say it is a "really cool" one. He also has a "badass sidearm" and is "a person of some importance to the Empire."
The publication describes two shots or images of this new villain. The first shot shows him treading through a shallow body of water with his cape trailing behind him. In another shot, he can be seen walking through legions of Stormtroopers and other Imperials similar to the scene where Darth Vader meets the Emperor in "Return of the Jedi."
This is purely speculation at this point, though, so take the new information with a grain of salt.
Eunice Olumide cast as rebel leader
Scottish model Eunice Olumide has recently revealed that she has been cast as a rebel leader. The 28-year-old told Edinburgh News that she was supposed to play a nomad but ended up as a rebel leader due to her being athletic.
"I did a small feature in Star Wars Rogue One," she said. "That was a really awesome experience. I don't have lines but it was an incredible experience to be part of such an iconic film."
She says her role is featured in a small scene where she is being chased by a tank with 20 stormtroopers. She adds there's a lot of explosions.
In addition, she has also been scanned into the George Lucas Archives. This means whether or not her scene gets cut, she's sure to be immortalized as a "Star Wars" toy.
