'Roseanne' Revival Gets A Release Date
The wait is almost over for fans of "Roseanne," since the series revival is scheduled to premiere in March 2018.
The popular comedy sitcom from the 1990s will reportedly begin with a one-hour premiere on March 27. It will occupy the network's 8 p.m. slot every Tuesday, which is also the show's time slot when it was first broadcasted by ABC.
The series revival will bring back the show's original cast, including Roseanne Barr in the titular role, John Goodman as Dan, Laurie Metcalf as Jackie, Sara Gilbert as Darlene, Michael Fishman as DJ, as well as Lecy Goranson as Becky. Sarah Chalke, the actress who played the role of Becky in the last few seasons of the show, will also return to play a still-undisclosed role.
Johnny Galecki, who is now part of "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS, will also appear in one episode of the "Roseanne" revival to reprise his role as David.
Aside from the original cast, two new characters will be introduced. They will be portrayed by Ames McNamara and Emma Kenney, and they will both portray the roles of Darlene and David's kids in the show.
Based on the network's press release that was reported by Today, the "Roseanne" revival will feature the original cast, new series regular characters, as well as several returning guest stars. The story will deal with a lot of important life events that will be celebrated by the entire Conner family.
"With the inimitable Roseanne at its epicenter, fresh stories that tackle today's issues and even more laughs from a brilliant cast and crew that haven't missed a beat, audiences old and new will celebrate the homecoming of America's favorite working-class family," the press release also stated.
The production for the nine-episode "Roseanne" revival in Studio City, California reportedly wrapped up over the weekend.
