Rosie O'Donnell Daughter: Mom Writes Poem and Posts Pictures for Dakota (PHOTOS)

Rosie O'Donnell spent the weekend showing off a poem and new pictures of her newborn daughter, Dakota.

The former comedian and talk show host has been generous with sharing pictures of her new baby girl Dakota, who was recently adopted by O'Donnell and her partner Michelle Rounds. O'Donnell appeared to be filled with pride over the weekend.

"Perfection," O'Donnell wrote in the caption of one Twitter picture of Dakota sleeping. The couple initially announced the arrival of Dakota on Twitter as well. O'Donnell has insisted that "she laughs."

Last week O'Donnell also wrote a poem for the newborn via her online site Rosie.com.

"I have a new baby, she smells delicious, cooing and blinking, welcome to the world," the first stanza reads. In a second stanza she added, "Michelle is glowing, a first time mom, she has fallen in big love, pure grace in motion."

Rounds is O'Donnell's second wife. She was previously married to Kelli Carpenter, but the pair split in 2007. O'Donnell went on to date Kachtick Anders, whom she met in 2007. The couple split in 2011 and later that year O'Donnell met Rounds. The couple became engaged in December of that year and were officially married in June of 2012.

O'Donnel has four previous children: the eldest, Parker Jeren, she adopted in 1995; Chelsea Belle was adopted in 2007 and Blake Christopher in 1999. In 2002, she conceived a child through artificial insemination while dating Carpenter.

Fans have also stepped in to share their joy with the 5-time mother.

"Ro, so happy for you and your beautiful family. I've been a fan forever and wish you the best life has to offer!" one fan wrote on the Rosie blog.
