Royal Brothers News: Princes William and Harry Unleash their Inner Child As They Visit 'Star Wars' Set

Princes William and Harry reconnected with the child in them as they visited the set of "Star Wars: Episode VIII," proving that "Star Wars" movies affect not only the commoners but royals, too.

The two members of the Royal Family came to the movie's set at Pinewood Studios earlier this week and unleashed the inner child in them as they got hold of light sabers and dueled with each other. They also spent time chatting with Mark Hamill in his Luke Skywalker costume, got a closer look of BB-8 the droid, and experienced getting a hug from Chewbacca.

The two princes could not contain the child in them as they toured the set. According to Daily Mail, Prince Harry poked fun at his older brother for showing less than enthusiastic moves as he held his light saber, to which Prince William responded that they could engage in a more action-filled light saber duel once they were already outside.

"My godson would love one of these - your son would love one of these," said Harry, referring to the light saber.

Later, Prince Harry asked actress Daisy Ridley how long she prepared for her role, especially with how to use the light sabers as they were heavy. Ridley said that the set of light sabers she used initially were actually heavier than the ones that they currently use.

"Three months…because I never really did anything before workout-wise, so you really need the strength to hold it. And then you learn the skills," Ridley shared with Prince Harry.

As they familiarized themselves with the props and the costumes used in the set, William couldn't resist the urge to lay his hands on Chewbacca, to which his brother jokingly reprimanded him saying:

"Whoooa, don't touch that! He's sacred! We must keep Chewie like he is," William shouted.

The two Princes visit to the studio was made possible through an invitation extended to them as the older Prince is the president of BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts.)

"Star Wars: Episode VIII" is slated for a Dec. 15, 2017 release.
