Russia vs Portugal Live Stream: Watch Online World Cup Qualifiers 2012 (11AM ET)
Russia vs Portugal takes place in Moscow on Friday in one of the biggest World Cup Qualifiers taking place this week. The Group F match up will likely go far in determining who will win this group, and neither side will be holding back to claim all three points. The match kicks off at 11 a.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream (details below).
These two teams are currently tied for first place; both having won their opening two games in the group. Someone (or both) will lose their 100 percent record through today's match, and both managers will be desperate to get the upper hand early on in this group.
Qualification in the European groups is always historically difficult, and each World Cup there are a number of leading European teams that end up falling short and not making it to the World Cup. So these two teams, being in one of the toughest groups, will be tense not to treat any games with contempt, and will be looking at each game in their qualification campaigns as essential games to win.
Portuguese manager Paulo Bento is confident that his team has what it takes to come through this tie. With players like Cristiano Ronaldo at his disposal it makes it more easy to be confident. However, playing in Russia is always a tough prospect for any team, and he will be ensuring his side do not take their east European counterparts lightly.
Bento told Fifa.com: "Russia have the same objective as us so there's no favorite, but we're going out there to win and to leave here with a total of nine points,"
During the week it was unsure whether Ronaldo would be fit for today's game, as he suffered a shoulder sprain in last weekend's El Classico, in which the star soccer player scored two goals. However, latest reports indicate that he is fit and will play - a massive boost for the Portuguese team.
Meanwhile Russia have some injury woes and could miss defender Pepe, who looked doubtful throughout the week with a thigh injury.
Today's game takes place at the Luzhniki Stadium, in Moscow, Russia. The match kicks off at 11 a.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream by clicking here.
