Ryan Seacrest 'Swatted' After Russell Brand Says He'd 'Definitely' Pull Prank AUDIO)

On the same day that "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest interviewed Russell Brand about "swatting" he too became a victim of the prank.

Emergency officials arrived at Seacrest's house on Wednesday afternoon after receiving a call about armed men near the area. The caller reported that "mobster looking guys in suits with rifles" were seen just before shots were fired in the house, according to TMZ.

Seacrest purchased the home from Ellen DeGeneres last year for an estimated $39 million. Oddly, the "American Idol" host had also just interviewed Russell Brand on "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" about being a victim of "swatting." Brand joked back that he would attempt a swatting prank if he were younger. Brand was pranked at the beginning of the month when a 911 caller alleged that gunmen were approaching the celebrity's home.

"If all swatting attacks are this unnoticeable I'm ready for war because I didn't even know it had happened, I still don't know what a swatting attack is!" Brand told the radio host. "There's always some helicopters and police at my house anyway because of my involvement in other activities so I didn't notice any additional ones."

The actor also noted that he wasn't all too upset.

"I think if I were a teenager I'd definitely do it," he noted although he feared there might be more serious consequences. "But what would be bad would be if the police were attending a swatting and then an actual crime happened and it took the police too long to get there because they were doing a swatting, but other than that it sounds like a laugh."
