Sacramento Kings NBA Trade Rumors: Darren Collison, Arron Afflalo and Ben McLemore Are Available in Trade Talks

After the National Basketball Association (NBA) All-Star game on Sunday, the Sacramento Kings shocked the basketball world by trading DeMarcus Cousins and Omri Casspi to the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway, a 2017 first-round draft pick and 2017 second-round draft pick. Most pundits believe it was a lopsided trade in New Orleans' favor, but the Kings still pulled the trigger and so the post-DeMarcus Cousins era begins.

Well, the Kings are not done dealing yet and by the time the trade window closes, the roster may look quite different. According to Chris Mannix of The Vertical, the Kings are still looking to move more of their players and they have placed Darren Collison, Arron Afflalo and Ben McLemore on the trading block.

"Sacramento is determined to restock the franchise with assets, and will be targeting rookie-deal players and draft picks in the coming days, sources told The Vertical. Free agents-to-be Ben McLemore and Darren Collison are available, sources said, as is Arron Afflalo, a solid bench scorer with a manageable contract," Mannix said on his report.

Collison has played great lately with Ty Lawson sidelined. Playoff contenders in need of a solid point guard will probably give him a long look. Afflalo is a "3-and-D" swingman that should also have some suitors around the league. He has been inconsistent this season, but he's never been afraid to take the big shots. Meanwhile, the Kings had high expectations for McLemore when they selected him with the seventh pick in the 2013 NBA draft, but he has been a disappointment so far.

Collison, Afflalo and McLemore are key players for the Kings and getting rid of them signals a full-scale rebuild for the team. After trading Cousins, the team has no other option anyway so they may as well push the reset button and start fresh.
