Sahara Davenport Dies: Cause of Death Remains a Mystery

Sahara Davenport has died according to reports out on October 2.

Davenport, whose real name was Antoine Ashley, was famed for being one of the most prominent drag queens in the business, as well as a singer/dancer.

Davenport was also well known as a star on "RuPaul's Drag Race."

The death has come as a big shock to those that knew him, and he was not thought to be ill or have any life-threatening conditions.

His exact age has often been disputed, but in his death most publications are claiming he died at the age of 27.

The cause of his death has also not yet been determined, and an autopsy may be needed to confirm why he died so suddenly.

Media outlets are confirming that those closest to Davenport are mourning his death, but have not released any details surrounding how he died. It is believed that many simply have no idea what has happened and do not want to start rumors that later turn out to be false.

Over the past two years Davenport has released two singles; "Pump With Me," and "Go Off."

Various celebrities have come out to express their shock and sadness at his passing.

RuPaul has admitted to feeling "shocked and heartbroken" at the news of his death.

Meanwhile, Bravo host, Andy Cohen, has also simply posted, "Very Sad."

Manila Luzon tweeted, "I love him so much."

"It's true and I have no words. Have to sign off for now kids, can't handle this," tweeted Michelle Visage.
