'Salvation' Season 1 Spoilers: Three Characters Try to Prove the President was Murdered

When "Salvation" season 1 returns this week for episode 12 titled "The Wormwood Prophecy," viewers may find out the truth behind the tragic demise that took place two episodes ago.

According to the episode synopsis, Darius Tanz (Santiago Cabrera), Grace Barrows (Jennifer Finnigan), and Harris Edwards (Ian Anthony Dale) are going to work together to prove that President Mackenzie (Tovah Feldshuh) was indeed murdered.

It can be recalled that back in episode 10, she tragically passed away while giving a speech, after suffering from what seemed to be a heart attack. Since she had been sick for quite a while prior to her death, nobody suspected that her sudden death was caused by someone else.

If the three characters do get to prove that the president was murdered, there is a possibility that it might have been Monroe Bennett (Sasha Roiz), her successor, who was behind it.

Harris also found out in the previous episode that there were some people in the government who wanted to take advantage of the president's failing health condition as a way to step up the ladder.

It was Claire Rayburn (Erica Luttrell) who revealed this, but she claimed to have no concrete knowledge of who these people are. She, however, told Harris that Calhoun (Brian Markinson) might be one of them.

Also, according to Spoiler TV, Grace is going to confess something to her daughter, Zoe (Rachel Drance). As to what this is, viewers will find out soon when "Salvation" airs this Wednesday at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS.

Apart from the already mentioned cast members, the series, which is written by Mike Werb and directed by Greg Prange, stars Charlie Rowe as Liam Cole, Jacqueline Byers as Jillian Hayes, Vas Saranga as Dexter, Paul De La Rosa as General Higgins, Mark Moses as Hugh Keating, and more.

Below is a compilation of the sneak peek photos for the upcoming episode.
