Samsung Exhibit II 4G Limited Sale Starts Oct. 27; T-Mobile to Sell Smartphone Without Contract
T-Mobile is scheduled to launch the Samsung Exhibit II 4G smartphone tomorrow, Oct. 27, at Wal-Mart stores with an introductory limited edition version of the smartphone. The device will be available without a contract and with a price tag of $199.99, the company announced Wednesday.
The Samsung Exhibit II 4G will cost $199 without a contract, and $30 (after a $50 mail in rebate) with a two-year service agreement, T-Mobile said. More of Samsung's new smartphones will be available starting Nov. 2 on T-Mobile's website.
Retail stores and other electronics dealers will also be able to sell the smartphone by Nov. 2.

"The Samsung Exhibit II 4G is the perfect device for consumers desiring a smartphone with robust 4G entertainment and Web browsing experiences – at a price they can afford," Andrew Morrison, vice president of product management at T-Mobile USA said in a statement Wednesday.
The new phone on the increasingly crowded smartphone market comes with a range of exciting features. With the 3.7-inch WVGA TFT touchscreen and a 1 GHz processor, phone provides a variety of entertainment capabilities and Web browsing experiences on America's largest 4G network, said T-Mobile.
The device will be powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It also features some of Google's most popular applications and services, such as Google Maps and Gmail, plus thousands of other apps available to download on the Android Market.
Offered in a marine blue color, the Samsung Exhibit II 4G makes it easy to share and take photos and videos via its 3-megapixel rear-facing camera with flash and video capture capabilities.
"T-Mobile offers a variety of low-cost service plans that, paired with America's largest 4G network, provide a compelling reason for consumers to step up to the benefits of 4G smartphones," Morrison said.
