Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 Specs, Release Date: New Leak Reveals 6 GB RAM and More
The next-generation Samsung Galaxy A7 has appeared in a new benchmark test on Geekbench, revealing some of its key specifications.
The listing for the device shows that the device comes with 6 GB of random-access memory (RAM), which is more than the one tested previously by GFX Bench, which had 4 GB.
This means that the Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 will come with both memory configurations with the 6 GB version marked as F, which means it will be available in Europe.
Samsung usually offers its smartphones with bigger amount of RAM in China only, but it looks like this will change soon. Finally, the device tested was running Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
Previous leaks and reports reveal that the Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 will also be powered by the Exynos 7885 processor. A version with a Qualcomm chipset is also expected to be released.
As for the rest of the specs, the handset will reportedly come with a 5.7-inch screen, which is believed to the same Infinity Display found in the Samsung Galaxy S8 duo and the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.
The 2018 versions of the Samsung Galaxy A7 and the A5 are expected to be the first devices from the South Korean giant below the flagship line to feature the Infinity Display.
This means that the Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 will sport an all-screen front panel giving it a premium and seamless look comparable to that of the company's top of the line offerings.
The device will also reportedly come with 32 and 64 GB of storage that can be expanded to 256 GB with a microSD card. On the imaging side, there will be a 16 MP shooter on the back and another 16 MP on the front.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 will also house a fingerprint scanner on the front and a 3,600 mAh battery to keep the lights on.
