The Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) variant has finally landed. As stated in a report by Gadgets 360, the device has been launched in India already and comes with a price tag of Rs. 8,990 ($135/€120). For those who are interested to grab one, it will be available exclusively via Snapdeal.
As for the specs and features of the smartphone, Technology Personalized detailed that it comes with a unique offering that every biker may want to have. The Galaxy J3 (2016) is equipped with the S Bike mode feature which helps bikers in managing calls and other notifications that they receive while on the go. It functions by muting the phone while sending a preset automate message that callers would get to inform that the user is currently unavailable to take calls.
But it doesn't just shoo away calls especially if it's an important one. The feature will allow callers to press 1 which will end their call up in white listing and giving the user an alert about it. And to activate the S Bike mode, one will only need to tap the phone on the NFC tag which is usually placed on the bike's fuel tank. This will alert callers that the user is currently riding the bike. Through this new feature, bikers can concentrate on the road while driving and will have a seamless riding experience.
The Times of India also noted that the device sports a 5-inch Super AMOLED HD display with 1,280x720 pixels resolution. It has under the hood a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 1.5 GB of RAM. For its internal memory storage, the handset has 8 GB which can be expanded further up to 128 GB via microSD card slot.
The device runs with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system topped with the Samsung TouchWiz UI. Its camera specs include an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera. Powered with a 2,600mAh battery, the smartphone measures 142.3x71x7.9mm and weighs 138 grams. It also comes with 3G, Wi-Fi, 4G, Bluetooth, GPS and Micro-USB.
