Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) Leaked Images Spotted, Rumored Specs Include 5.2-Inch Display, 13MP Camera

It's no secret that Samsung is releasing mid-range smartphone Galaxy J5 (2016) soon. But while the South Korean compay has been quiet about its details, leaked images and rumors have alerady hit the web. According to a report by International Business Times, a new set of alleged leaked images have surfaced online.

The alleged images of the Galaxy J5 (2016) were first spotted on German website WinFuture. It showed the different angles of the device including the front, side and rear, giving fans a clearer picture of the smartphone's overall design. It's also noted to appear similar to the 2016 version of the Galaxy A-series devices that were released the previous year.

Aside from that, GSM Arena noted that the new images also confirmed the previous leaks which showed that the device will have a metal frame with a slight brushed metal texture. It's also observed that there is a notch on the back cover which suggests that that back can be removed. Two color options are available which are White and Gold. But since nothing is official yet, it's best to take the leaked renders with a grain of salt.

There are also rumors going around regarding the other specs and features of the handset. According to Softpedia, the device is said to feature a 5.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display with 1,280x720-pixel resolution. Under the hood, the handset is said to carry a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset, which is apparently an old model already. It is said to be paired with 2 GB of RAM along with 16 GB of storage, which can be expanded further up to 64 GB via microSD card slot.

Gadgets 360 reported that the handset is rumored to be pre-installed with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. However, other reports say that the mid-range device will be shipping with Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box.

Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) may feature a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera with LED flash. It's also said to have Near Field Communication support, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi.
