The Samsung Unpacked 2013 Episode 1 event was held in March earlier this year, where the company's flagship phone, the Samsung Galaxy S4, was unveiled.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 event will finally put to bed many of the rumors that have been swirling about the device for months now.

The Note 2 was so popular that as soon as the Galaxy S4 was released many quickly turned their attentions to how Samsung would upgrade the Note 2, and what features seen on the S4 would be implemented into the Galaxy Note 3.

According to the most consistent rumors about the device, the Galaxy Note 3 will pack a Snapdragon 800 SoC processor, 2.5 GB RAM, and will be available in two variants –Snapdragon 800 and Exynos 5 Octa-core.

The Snapdragon processor features the new Quick Charge 2.0 protocol, which will allow batteries to charge up to 75 percent faster.

The event won't only be about the Galaxy Note 3 though, and the event is also expected to unveil Samsung's first ever SmartWatch, touted as being called the Samsung Galaxy Gear.

The Gear is expected to feature a 2.5-inch 320x320 OLED display and a dual-core Exynos 4 processor.

The Galaxy Note 3 is slated to compete with the iPhone 5S, which will be launched by Apple during a media keynote event on Sept. 10.

Apple's event will be held during the IFA 2013 convention in Berlin, which will run from Sep. 6 -11.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Samsung Galaxy Gear will be unveiled at the Samsung Unpacked Event 2013 Episode 2 event from 1 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream via the video player below or alternatively by clicking here.
