Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Specs News: Galaxy Note 6 May Have 6 GB Of RAM

If recent reports are true, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 6 may be the first ever smartphone to have a whopping 6 GB of RAM. According to a report in The Inquirer, the Korean manufacturer's next generation phablet may sport a 5.8-inch AMOLED display as well as a 12-megapixel main camera.

Samsung has yet to announce its next flagship devices at the Mobile World Congress 2016, but this does not stop rumors about its next big device, the Note 6, from circulating the Internet. According to the report, the leak about the phone's specs is courtesy of a Weibo user called HQ Vision. This is not the first time that this rumor about the device's huge bump in processing power has come out. This recent report further bolsters earlier claims that Samsung may be grooming the Note 6 as something that can replace a PC. There are also reports that the device will come with a docking station.

Another report in Tech Times also cited the same Weibo user and said that the device will come with a 12-megapixel rear camera with what is called "Super OIS (optical image stabilization) Plus." It will also supposedly come in two models, a 64 GB variant and a 128 GB variant. Display resolution is pegged at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels and the phone is also expected to have Samsung S Pen support. Under the hood, the device may either have Samsung's own Exynos processor or the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor depending on where the device is being released.

Samsung traditionally unveils its next-generation phablet sometime in August, so if the company will follow its usual cycle, the Note 6 will be unveiled during this time. The Inquirer report cited that a Samsung spokesperson revealed that the Galaxy Note 6 will be coming to Europe in August, perhaps to counter the criticism Samsung got from not releasing its predecessor in the region last year.
